Semester Goals

ISDS 2000 – A
French 1002 – A
Management 3200 – A
Economics 2000 – B
Accounting 2001 – B

Probably a long shot, but I sure as hell will try.

And these are only school related goals, of course.

Campus at 10:30

For the record, I’ve never had to get to campus before at 10:30 during the fall or spring semesters (or summer, I think), and I’d just like to say that IT SUCKS. I am going to work in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays just so I don’t have to fight 5k other students to get a damn parking spot. :

First Day of Classes

Okay, even though today was the first day of class, I had a really good day. First off was ISDS 2000, and Johnathon Bordelon is in there with me. :D Then I went to work and watched our work orders go from 72 to ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR I FRICKING HATE GET CONNECTED:LSKDF:LSKDFJ. Kay. At 1:30 I had Dead Language (French) 1002, and it turns out one of the people I knew from French 1001 that I talked to every day in that class is in this class. So, cool beans. :D And then I went to work from 2:30 to 6:30, and even though it was hella busy, I loved it, like always.

It turns out that lightning hit ECA building 1 and 2 this weekend. Crazy stuff right there. :o

Some pictures and some snakes.

I’ve got some interesting cell phone pictures for you, my loyal blogees. First, there’s this decoration from the RLC’s office in Broussard Hall. I walked in and didn’t immediately understand why there was a big bra on the wall, and then I realized they were sunglasses. Then there’s L5U. The top balloon on the S was popped. :D And finally…I found this CD at Best Buy. What a great band name!

Keith and I went to see Snakes on a Plane today. He hated it, and I thought it was soooo bad but sooooo good. The death scenes were pretty funny.

Work was hella busy last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Hurray for Roaring Into the Halls, and also for our great new metric-shit-ton of Get Connected work orders. Great software, thanks Indiana University!!!! Honestly, sure it’ll help lower the amount of Sasser work orders we get, and at least people will have anti-virus software, but we’re still going to get people calling with virus problems all year long, just like always. Get Connected is just causing us 10 times more problems so it’s not really worth it, in my opinion. :

Snakes on a Blog

I am going to go see Snakes on a Plane this weekend with or without someone. I am very determined. I shall have my mother effing snakes.

I was busy all day at work today. It was ridiculous, just like Samuel L. Jackson! At least the ITS guys I was busy doing work with were cool.

Weird Al is awesome with a capital, invisible G.

Jessica Andrews was in Baton Rouge on August 5th at the Balloon Festival AND I DIDN’T KNOW AND I MISSED HER A:LKDJF:LKSDFLK:SDF.

I am sad.

Random Ramblings

I feel like writing right now, so this entry may turn out long.

We’ve been doing a lot at work. It feels nice to get so much accomplished. Next week at work is going to be insane. So will the week after.

I really don’t want classes to start. This semester is going to be a huge headache.

Sometimes when I’m bored I watch an episode or two of “Penn & Teller: Bullshit!” which is a show where Penn & Teller throw their belief system at you and dismiss all others as, well, bullshit. Even though I don’t agree with a lot of their bullshit calls, it’s still a really interesting show, especially the one on PETA and the one on Environmental Hysteria. Also, apparently recycling is bullshit too. Check it out if you get a chance. It comes on Showtime, but those of us with better things to spend money on, it’s also on Google Video.

And speaking of spending money, I think I’m pretty good about not wasting money. At least on little things. Then something big comes out. Grrr. From January to sometime this summer, I wanted a 20″ iMac. Then I realized I’d rather buy my own display, so I should probably wait for the Mac Pro. Now that they are out, I definitely want one, but then I thought of something. By the time I’ll have enough for one (or at least, for the one I want)…which will probably be next spring or summer, I may be in need of a new laptop, depending on how well this one holds out and on how much the ISDS curriculum requires Windows. The thing with that is though…I really, really want a desktop Mac. Honestly, I only use my desktop these days to watch stuff on or to store stuff on. Most of the time I’m using my iBook and my desktop’s displays are asleep. So I guess come next summer, I’ll have to decide what to do about this. I also decided that I wanted a TV last week. A nice one. Problem is…those are expensive too. I’m going to hold out on the TV for a while I guess. Probably until I have my own apartment or when I graduate or something, bleh.

I don’t have to take business calculus, whoo!

I got a account a few weeks ago. If you are on there, here is my page. Add me. :D

I have been listening to Panic! At the Disco nonstop since January. I have never listened to a CD this much in succession, ever. They are such a fun band. Honestly, I probably like them better than Alter Bridge, which would make them my 2nd favorite band.

I wish I had more willpower to read. I really do like reading, but I always opt to get on the Supertube instead. I’ll probably read iWoz and the new Halo book when they come out, or maybe I’ll do like I did with Neuromancer and Snow Crash (both really good boooks from what I’ve read) and just read the first few chapters and then quit for no reason at all.

I’ve been enjoying Bleach way more than other anime lately. Even for filler it’s really good. I have been watching Blood+ lately too, which is weird (for me) since I don’t watch anime that much anymore besides Bleach and Naruto.

Movies to watch: Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Snakes on a Plane.

I’m ready for a long, long break from everything. Too bad I’m about to get quite the opposite.
