I know no one cares when I talk about music, but I did want to link to this article for all of the haters out there. I know there are only opinions when it comes to musical tastes, but so many people act like music they don’t like is definitively “bad music.”

Also, I realize I haven’t blogged in about a week, which is something I’m going to blame on Tweeting more so than not having anything to say. If you miss my regular updating that much, then read this. I don’t normally post links to my Tiger Weekly articles here, but I particularly enjoyed writing that one.

One Week Left

The results of this survey are pretty interesting so far. I’ve gotten about as many results as I thought I would, which is not that many. :P It looks like a lot of people answered similarly on some parts and completely different on others. Just to make sure you guys understand, I do plan on using the results of this survey to further the development of my blog.

I know I said I wouldn’t post any individual results of the survey, but there was one that got me that I feel like I have to respond to (it’s not personally identifiable anyway). So, I won’t post the exact comment, I’ll just respond to it, and you can probably judge whether or not you were the one that posted this: my blog is my personal blog, it’s not a technology blog. I used to have a technology blog that was separate from this, but then I realized that I was splitting my already low readership between two blogs, so I figured just one personal blog with everything was better. I do often have a tagline on my blog that reflect some aspect of technology, but that’s mostly a joke between me and my roommate. :P

So, I’ve got one week left of college. Then I’m done, most likely for good. I have to turn in something tomorrow that I’ve already completed, and then I have an exam on Thursday and maybe a little something else to do for ISDS 4125, then I’m done. Exciting, but kind of stressful. Hope I don’t majorly screw something up.

For anyone that reads my Tiger Weekly articles, my last one will be appearing in this week’s paper, and then I’m done, unless the editor can’t find someone else to write the tech news and advice column, then I’ll keep writing it until he does.

Christmas shopping is almost done. Need a little something else for my sister then that’s it.

So, judging from my survey, I should write about technology a little more than I currently do. Maybe I should’ve been linking to my Tiger Weekly articles this past year instead of just posting them on Facebook. Hmm.

Article Commentary, Random Thoughts, People

I’m getting some discussion on my Tesla Motors article on TigerWeekly.com. It’s nice to have an article in the “Most Commented” section (for the second time since I started writing these things…it’s so sad that no one cares about technology unless I write something that could be taken as pro-RIAA :P ).

I have my first midterm in History 1001 next week, and I’m not too excited. Anyone ever had Ross for History? :\

I’ve been kind of vocal about how much I don’t like John McCain (as a person), but lately I think Obama is showing that he’s no different. He seems to be flip-flopping on some things he’s said, so I guess it’s a requirement for the new millennium that the presumptive Democratic nominee to be a flip-flopper. I still think he’d be a little better than McCain, but the gap is closing. I’m still not voting, don’t get me wrong, but I would voice my support for a candidate if either of them would pull out ahead clearly in my mind.

You know how there are just some people that are just plain retarded, yet you can’t tell them anything? Yeah…some of you will know what I’m talking about, and to the rest of you, I’m not really talking in a broad sense.

I can’t wait till fall/winter. It’s way too freaking hot and muggy and just generally uncomfortable outside.

And to end on a positive note, Michelle and I have been talking about our wedding and making plans and stuff. So far, it’s set for Friday, June 12, 2009. My groomsmen will be Adam, Keith, Alex, Dustin (Michelle’s brother) and Ross (Michelle’s cousin).

There’s Only One Gym Class I’ve Ever Liked

The concert was good. Tyga didn’t play, and we were late so we wouldn’t have to see them, so we missed a little bit of Cobra Starship. Good times. Gym Class Heroes covered a metal song really well, and I have no idea why, since they’re a rap band. They also covered a Prince song and some other random 80’s song. Travie (of Gym Class Heroes) didn’t do the rap part in Cobra Starship’s collaborative “Bring It (Snakes on a Plane),” which kind of disappointed me, but William Beckett (of The Academy Is…) did do his part.

Lately I’ve been craving a muffuletta. I got some little ones the other day from Winn-Dixie and they were actually pretty good, but I think I’m going to head over to The Italian Pie soon and get one, thanks to a recommendation from Keith Carroll.

I’ve been getting some trackbacks (links from other blogs to my blog) lately. I really wish I knew how those people found my site. I guess random Google searches; I do write about enough pointless crap, after all.

This is probably my favorite article that I’ve done so far for Tiger Weekly, and ironically, it’s about cars instead of computers. It’s my favorite because I really think it’s something people are/could be interested in and could be useful to them one day, and something that they’ll actually read…and I think I wrote it pretty well (very modest, I know), except for the “Image this” opening, which none of the editors caught (“Imagine this” is what I meant to say). Check it out.

By the way, the Tesla Roadster is awesome.

I’m Being Syndicated

D: The University Media Group, which owns Tiger Weekly, has another paper at Ohio State University, and Stephen Phillips just told me that my articles are going to be syndicated in it. All it means for me is more exposure, but that is still pretty cool! :D

A Lot To Catch Up On

Michelle and I went to see Speed Racer on opening day, I believe, and like I previously said, it was fantastic. It had the most amazing visuals I’ve ever seen in a movie, and it was really funny and fun (I was smiling throughout a lot of it). We went to see it again in Destin at a Rave (cause Raves are freaking awesome; digital projection is so FTW). I can’t wait for it to come out on DVD.

Anyway. Destin was really fun. We went on the beach and went shopping and ate out and just had a good time. We tried to go to the Gulfarium, but it was closed on that one day we decided we wanted to go, which figures. :\

Our hotel was pretty nice and it was right across the (not busy) street from the beach.

Also, I’d like to know if anyone I know wrote this comment on my last Tiger Weekly article:

This guy Phil, writes the most amazing articles!!! Keep it up techie!

I appreciate it if you did, but I’m trying to figure out if it was a random person or not, cause it would be a lot cooler if it wasn’t someone I know, but it kind of sounds like Philip Cali or something, lawl.

I’m going to try to keep up with my blog more now that the semester is over. Speaking of that, though, it ended pretty well. I brought my GPA up a little bit, and somehow managed to pull up all B’s and an A. How I got a B in Project Management, I’ll never know. And for that matter, how I got a 90 on my VB final is also a miracle, considering I didn’t even do one part of the 50 point programming section that was worth 5 or 8 points or something, which is automatically a 90 or an 84.

I’ve got more stuff to write about, but I’ll do it later. That’s enough for you guys to digest right now.

What’s the Deal?

I haven’t had too much to write about. My life has been eventful, but in a routine sort of way, if you catch my drift. Classes have been bleh, work has been good, as usual, and everything with Michelle has been super-awesome. :D We had a good weekend together again. I forgot to mention last weekend that we bought rollerblades so we could go, you guessed it, rollerblading (and Will, if you’re reading this, the fact that I bought them to rollerblade with a girl makes it totally not gay, right? :P ). Anywho, we went rollerblading at her old elementary school today and that was fun. :D We also went to Monsanto park for a while, which was nice, since it was good weather to be outside and all (gasp, yeah, I just said that).

Lost has been crazy lately. Last week was totally insane (had me going o_O the entire time), but I guess that won’t really interest anyone so I’ll shut up about that now. Me and Adam Z sure do make some awesome commentary while we’re watching it though.

Apple should be updating the Mac Minis soon, which is exciting for me, since I’ll be buying one as soon as they do. Also, the recent announcement of the 2.0 version of the iPhone software update has actually made the iPhone worth it now, and even actually pretty good! So now, I want one of those too (again), but I’ll decided that later, like this summer or something.

A while back I tried Googling my name along with “Tiger Weekly” since that’s how I got that whole job in the first place, and I found that my Ruckus article was published on Ruckus’ news website, lawl. Here’s the site, if you’re interested. Kind of exciting, if only for a couple of seconds.

I need something to buy at Best Buy soon before my coupons run out. Someone suggest something! :P

Creepy Voicemail
