Is it just me, or do magnolia blossoms smell terrible?
My new monitor came in. It is niccceeee, I like. I also bought new speakers last week, but my 5.1 channel sound card was in Houma, so I haven’t gotten a chance to test them yet. Haven’t used the monitor on my desktop yet, so I don’t know if I’ll be buying a new video card yet.
Jurassic Park III is on TV right now. Good times. 
My favorite author was mentioned on Penny Arcade today, and in a positive way, at that. I just thought it was cool because no one knows who Eric Nylund is.
The smoothies in the Union are pretty good. Too bad they’re like $3.29.

Well, classes have been treating me like shit. My economics class has been pissing me off, as usual, and my ridiculous excuse for a teacher isn’t really helping (I have homework for that class that I should be doing right now!). I have a communication studies paper to write, as well as a bonus paper if I have time (and I’m just finishing up on my project for that class), and this is all before Monday. Hey, good thing I’m writing this because I just realized I have an accounting quiz to do before Monday night, too! At least the semester is almost over. My finals week is spread out the best way it can be, one exam every day Monday through Friday. I guess that’s also bad since I have to study every day that week, but it’s better than two tests on one day.
I wish I could go home tomorrow and rest, but nope. I have to do homework all weekend. :\
I cancelled Netflix last Sunday. I have a pretty big backlog of movies to watch anyway, plus I’ve been watching a lot of anime anyway so I have other forms of entertainment if I really need it.
I’m pretty much just writing at this point to avoid doing my homework. 
1) I think I’m going to start calling the Internet “The Computer Internet” when I remember. Ten points if you know the reference.
2) I hate when people say “hose pipe.”
3) I wish UPS and DHL/Airborne Express would go away. Fedex FTW.
4) Samsung > Sony.
5) The people that bid on oil futures suck.
6) MySpace sucks. Kevin Rose said so.
About two years ago when I built my current PC, I used PC2700 RAM from my old computer, with every intention to replace the RAM with PC3200 RAM when I got the money. Well, yesterday, I finally did it! I also intend to replace my TV tuner card, my speakers, and possibly my video card. I’ve already ordered a new monitor (I took my old CRT to my parents’ house so I don’t have dual monitors anymore, and now I will again ).
Earlier this week we got a DMCA violation in our queue at work. I usually go through these to see what they got caught downloading/sharing, and this one happened to be for three Fall Out Boy songs. I couldn’t help myself, so I updated the work order with, “This ain’t a scene, it’s an RIAA violation.” By the way, yesterday we had 8 DMCA violations, and 5 of them were for people that got caught downloading/sharing Entourage (the TV show, not the mail app in Office 2004). So…yeah, if you want to watch Entourage, heads up, find some legal way to watch it.
I really, really don’t like my macroeconomics teacher. If you ever have the chance to take Subaran Roy for any economics classes…don’t. This isn’t why I don’t like him, but he assigned us an online homework assignment for Chapter 15, which we took an exam on yesterday. Um…why? Bleh.
Smallville and The Office are back, and Monday, Heroes will be back! I’m so happy! I missed my TV shows!
Argghhh, I want to graduate.

My accounting teacher is good, but kind of weird. She always tells us, “Bring your calculators to class! We’ll be doing a lot of calculations and you all need to get used to punching these numbers in!” Then when we’re in class actually doing the calculations, she keeps going, “Come on guys, this is easy, you don’t need your calculator for this, use your brain muscle!” Yes, she has said multiple times that the brain is a muscle. Good thing she’s not a biology teacher.

Okay, here’s a confession that only three people in the world know, two of which I don’t talk to anymore: I like to write (as in stories, not just blog entries) and I do post some of my writing on the Internet. I’ve been doing this for a really long time, though I’ve deleted a lot of it multiple times and started over. My most recent start-over was in January of this year. I’ve been debating whether or not to post a link to this stuff for a long time and I still don’t think I want to because it’s kind of embarassing. If you want to read some of what I write, leave a comment and I’ll consider instant messaging you a link to where I keep what I write.
Anyone else watch Tiki Bar TV? Damn, there needs to be a new episode of that show every week. I started watching it a few months ago (though it’s been around since 2005) and it’s just fantastic all the way around. I was inspired to write this since episode 24 just came out, after waiting like 4 or 5 months since the release of episode 23. If you want to try out the show, the best episode is “Son of Internet,” episode 20, in which Alex Albrecht guest stars.
On the subject of podcasts, I also recently decided I’d start watching Diggnation instead of listening to it. If you’ve never watched Diggnation or listened to it, you really should. I’ve been listening to it since something like episode 33 (it’s a weekly show and it’s currently in the 90’s), and it feels like Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht are like my buddies or something because I listen to those two mess around and talk about tech news and random shit every week. Yeah…you should watch it.
My family had a BBQ today for Easter. Maybe I’ll post some pictures later. Maybe I won’t.

Are the paparazzi after you again asking you about your golden sakura necklace?
I just saw on TV that a 102 year old lady hit a hole-in-one in golf. What, does she think she’s special now? Well, I guess she is. Apparently she’s the oldest person ever to hit a hole-in-one. When you’re 103, you should get a hole-in-one just to piss her off and break her record. It’s not like you’ll have anything better to do in your cardboard box with your microwave.
