I spent my weekend with Michelle, who came up to Baton Rouge, and I’d like to outline some key points and talk about some of them!

-Saw Get Smart, which was absolutely hilarious. Steve Carrell has got to be my favorite actor. He’s just naturally funny and he was really perfect for this part. He can take an everyday phrase or action and make it funny just by the way he says it or by his facial expressions…or by any other means at his disposal. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there’s a very funny part of this movie involving a swordfish (not that this part has to do with Steve Carrell).
-Did a lot of cooking, which was fun. The only thing I don’t like about cooking is the cleanup and some things about preparation, like cutting chicken.
-Ate at Mellow Mushroom for the first time. Their pizza was good, kind of pricey and not that special, but good. Their dough was really the best part though. I actually ate the crust, which I rarely do.
-Went and saw Keith Carroll’s condo, which is very nice and Keith Carrolly.
-Watched The Other Boleyn Girl. Natalie Portman has got to be one of the best, if not the best female actress of our time. She portrays her characters so well. In everything I’ve seen her in, regardless of the quality of the rest of the movie, she’s always been absolutely and completely convincing and fantastic. I also like Scarlett Johansson as an actress, don’t get me wrong, but I think this movie showcased Natalie Portman’s acting skill a lot better.

I think that’s it for the weekend.

I have a 2 page paper due in my security class this Friday. Can’t say I’m too excited about that, as some of it requires a little bit of research. I have some of it written already though, so we’ll see about that. I also have a tech conference at work this week that I am presenting at. I won’t say that I’m excited about that, but I think it’ll be interesting.
